An RG Colorado from June 2012 to December 2020, 2WD or 4x4, takes our Colorado, D-Max and MU-X front wheel bearing kit, one kit per wheel. Our listings name the same kit for 4x4 RC Colorados (3.0 diesel from July 2010, 3.6 V6 from July 2008), 3.0 4x4 D-Max utes from 2008 to 2020 and 2013 to 2021 MU-X wagons.
If yours is an RG, a 4x4 or an MU-X and it's in the table, that's your kit. A 2WD RC Colorado or D-Max needs one more check, explained below.

Source: Bearings Express product titles and "Fits" lists for each kit named, read 30 September 2026. "Not stated" means the listing gives the model code and engine but not 2WD or 4x4. The Colorado 7 dates are as the pair listing reads them. The pn1854 listing carries the same supplier part number as pn606, so where the two name the same D-Max they agree. Each kit does one wheel, left or right.
A 2WD Colorado or D-Max: check the suspension first
For the 4x4s and RGs in the table, our listings give one answer. On a 2WD RC Colorado or D-Max, our listings name two different kits:
- Our 2WD low-ride front kit (pn1746) is listed for the RC Colorado 2008 to 2012 (3.0 and 3.6; 2.4 to 2009) and D-Max TFR utes (2.4, 2.5, 3.0 and 1.9 engines), each line marked "RWD with low ride suspension".
- The Colorado, D-Max and MU-X kit (pn606) also lists RWD versions of the RC Colorado and the 3.0 D-Max, without saying low or high ride. The pn1854 listing names D-Max TFR codes too, without saying the drive.
The two kits carry different supplier part numbers, and our team confirms the split: a 2WD low-ride takes the low-ride kit (pn1746), and a 2WD high-ride takes the Colorado, D-Max and MU-X kit (pn606). If you're not sure which yours is, send us your VIN or registration before you order and we'll check it for you. The low-ride kit's list names no RG Colorado and no MU-X.
What we left out, and why
- RC Colorado 3.0 diesel 4x4 built before July 2010. The pn606 list starts its RC 3.0 lines at July 2010, and no other listing names an earlier 4x4 RC 3.0.
- 3.0 D-Max built after 2020 and MU-X built after May 2021. Our listings end the 3.0 D-Max at May 2020 (pn606) or 2020 (pn1746, pn1854) and the MU-X at May 2021, so send us your VIN for anything later.
- Rodeo RA (2003 to 2008) and TF (1988 to 2003). Both the low-ride kit and the pn1854 listing name them, with different conditions, so send us your VIN.
- Rear wheel bearings. None of our listings names a Colorado, D-Max or MU-X rear. Our Rodeo rear kit is listed for the Rodeo from 1985 to 2003 only.
When to get a mechanic
Humming, rumbling or growling usually comes from tyres, electrics or the driveline. If the bearing is the cause, the noise is there in a straight line but gets louder when you turn the steering wheel slightly. Typically, the faulty bearing is on the side opposite the rumbling. Grinding when turning or when the load shifts can mean roller or raceway damage. Snapping or clicking on sharp turns can mean too much bearing end play, or a worn outer CV joint.
Get a mechanic if you don't have the workshop manual for your vehicle and the tools it calls for. The hub nut and bearing settings come from that manual, and we don't publish torque or adjustment figures. Our listings for these kits all say the parts "should be fitted by a professional and fitted to vehicle specifications", and we agree.
Which Bearings Express kit fits
- Pick the Colorado, D-Max and MU-X front kit (pn606) for an RG Colorado, a 4x4 RC Colorado, a 3.0 4x4 D-Max or an MU-X with a line in the table, or a 2WD RC Colorado or D-Max with high-ride suspension.
- Pick the 2WD low-ride front kit (pn1746) only for a 2WD RC Colorado or D-Max you've confirmed is low-ride, with its engine on the listing.
- Send us your VIN if you're not sure whether your 2WD is low-ride or high-ride.
- Pick the Chevrolet Colorado, Rodeo and D-Max front kit (pn1854) for a D-Max with a TFS code and engine on its list, such as the 1.9.
- Pick the pair of Colorado, D-Max and MU-X front kits (pn541) if you're doing both front wheels.
More kits are in wheel bearing kits and hub units.
Questions people also ask
What wheel bearing does an RG Colorado take?
Our Colorado, D-Max and MU-X front kit (pn606). Its listing names the RG with the 2.5 LVN, 2.8 LWH and 2.8 LWN engines from June 2012 to December 2020, in 2WD and 4x4, and the Colorado 7 wagon.
Does the D-Max or MU-X take the same front wheel bearing as the Colorado?
For a 3.0 diesel 4x4 D-Max from 2008 to May 2020 and an MU-X from 2013 to May 2021, yes: the same pn606 kit is listed. A 2WD D-Max needs the suspension check above.
What bearings and seal are in the RG Colorado kit?
The listing doesn't name the bearing numbers. For one 2013 Colorado, our team matched the customer's old Koyo 32009JR and 57407 bearings to this kit. The seal supplied in it is 58 mm ID x 75 mm OD x 9 mm wide, and that's the part to check against your old seal before you fit it. In bearing makers' catalogues, a 32009 tapered roller bearing is 45 mm bore x 75 mm OD x 20 mm wide. Those are catalogue figures, not measurements of our kit.
Do you have a rear wheel bearing for a Colorado or D-Max?
Not in our current listings. None names a Colorado, D-Max or MU-X at the rear, so send us your VIN and we'll tell you if we can help.
Do I need one kit or two?
Each kit does one front wheel, left or right. Each has a pair listing for both sides: pn541 for pn606, pn1747 for pn1746 and pn1855 for pn1854.
