Landcruiser swivel hub seal order
The fitting order for the swivel seal set comes from the Toyota workshop manual for your model. Our listings name the parts as felt seals and king pin wiper seals and gaskets, so lay the old parts out in the order they came off and match the new ones to them. For a GQ, follow the Nissan workshop manual.
What the 80 Series kits don't list
- Shims. None of our three 80 Series listings names shims. Our older Landcruiser kits, by contrast, each list "1 x pack of assorted shims".
Before you start
- Get the workshop manual for your model and year. Kingpin preload, shim selection and every torque figure come from it. We don't publish them.
- Decide on the wheel bearings before you order. If they're rough or of unknown age, pick the kit with wheel bearings.
- Book a mechanic if you don't have the manual and the special tools it calls for. This is steering and wheel bearing work. Every one of these kit listings says the parts "should be fitted by a professional and fitted to vehicle specifications", and we agree.

Will an 80 Series swivel hub kit fit a 79 Series?
Not by our listings. The 80 Series kits exclude the FZJ78, FZJ79, HZJ78 and HZJ79, and our older kits list their 70 Series codes up to January 1990. Send us your VIN or registration and we'll check.
Do 105 Series Landcruisers have swivel hubs?
Our 80 Series kit listings name the HZJ105 and say they exclude IFS models, although their titles say "100 Series". If your 100 Series has independent front suspension, send us your VIN or registration before ordering.
Is the GQ swivel hub kit the same as the GU kit?
They're separate listings: the GQ kits list the Y60 and Maverick DA, and the GU Patrol swivel hub kits list the Y61. Order the one listed for your model.
How much does a swivel hub rebuild cost?
The kit price is on each listing; ask a mechanic to quote the labour.
