Every one of our 33 timing belt kits contains a timing belt, bearings and seals, and some also add a hydraulic tensioner, a water pump or both. To find yours, match your engine code (such as EJ25, 6G72 or 1KD-FTV) to a row in the table below, then pick the contents.
Know your full engine code? Find its row, then check the notes under "How to find your kit": a few codes, such as 6G72 and EJ20, sit on two rows. Not sure of it? Send us your VIN or registration and our team will confirm the kit from the make, model, year and engine.

Source: our product listings (titles, "Kit includes" and "Fits" lists) for the 33 kits in our timing belts and kits range, checked 12 October 2026. Years are the first and last the listings give for each row. Within a row, every kit lists the vehicles shown, except that the Getz water pump kit doesn't list the Kia Rio and lists the Excel from January 1998 (74 kW) only.
What's in a timing belt kit
Every kit we list has three things in common:
- The timing belt.
- Bearings. Most listings just say "bearings". Our Toyota four-cylinder kits name them: a tensioner bearing and an idler bearing.
- Seals. Many listings call them high-temperature seals. The Toyota four-cylinder kits list three cam and crankshaft oil seals and an oil pump cover O-ring.
Then there are the add-ons, which depend on the engine:
- Hydraulic tensioner: listed for the Holden 3.2 and 3.5 V6, the Hyundai and Kia six-cylinder, the Toyota 1KD-FTV and 2KD-FTV, the Toyota 1MZ-FE V6, the Triton 4D56T and 24-valve 6G72, and both Subaru kit families.
- Water pump: listed for every family except the Hyundai and Kia six-cylinder, the Triton 4D56T and the two Subaru families. The Holden 1.8 kit comes only with the pump. The Getz and Accent pump kit fits one pump version only, with a 14 mm high alternator mounting post and a round hub, so check the old pump first.
- Both: listed for the Holden V6, the Toyota 1KD-FTV and 2KD-FTV, the 1MZ-FE V6 and the 24-valve 6G72.
Our team recommends replacing all the components together when the timing belt is done. Many buyers keep the old tensioner to save cost, but if the combination you want isn't listed for your engine, ask us: water pump kits are available on request where we don't list them. Where no hydraulic tensioner version is listed, our listings don't say whether the engine uses one, so ask us.
How to find your kit: the engine code
- Find your make, model, series, build date and engine code. If you don't know the engine code, send us your VIN or registration.
- Find the row with your engine code in the table.
- Decide what's being replaced with the belt (tensioner, water pump or both), then pick that kit.
The engine code matters because one model name can sit on two or three kit families:
- Camry, 1997 to 2002. The 2.2 four-cylinder (5S-FE, SXV20R, August 1997 to August 2002) is on the Toyota four-cylinder kit; the 3.0 V6 (1MZ-FE, MCV20R, August 1997 to August 2002) is on the V6 kit.
- Triton. Three families: the 12-valve 6G72 in the MH and MJ, the 24-valve 6G72 in the MK, and the 4D56T diesel in the ML and MN. The Delica appears on both 6G72 families in our listings, so we've left it out of the table: send us your VIN.
- Hilux and Hiace, 2001 to 2005. The 5L runs to April 2005 in the Hilux and February 2005 in the Hiace, while our listings give the 2KD-FTV Hiace from 2001, the KUN Hilux from 2005, and the Hilux Surf from 2000 and Tiger from 2001 (KDN codes). A year alone won't tell you the kit.
- Subaru. The camshaft layout (SOHC or DOHC) picks the kit, not turbo or engine size, and the bare code EJ20 appears on both. The 2005 to 2007 Impreza 2.0 non-turbo is listed on both families with different engine codes, so send us your VIN.
- Holden Apollo. Our listings put it on the Toyota four-cylinder kit, with the 3S-FE or 5S-FE.
Searching by model code? Our listings give the LN106R Hilux (3L, 1988 to 1997) on the 2L, 3L and 5L kit, and the KUN16R, KUN25R and KUN26R Hilux (2005 to 2015) on the 1KD-FTV and 2KD-FTV kit. They don't use the N70 name; one Hiace line on that kit says D4D (KLH28L).
Not in our timing belt kit range
None of our timing belt kits lists a Ford, Honda, Nissan or Mazda, the Holden Colorado, or the Toyota 1G-FE engine. If your engine isn't in the table, send us the make, model, year and engine code (or the VIN) and our team will check.
Belt or chain, and how often to change it
The engines in the table have a timing belt: that's what these kits are listed for. For any other engine we can't answer from our listings, so check your owner's manual or ask the vehicle maker's dealer with your VIN.
For the replacement interval, use your vehicle's own service book or owner's manual. The same goes for whether your engine is an interference engine (where a broken belt lets the valves hit the pistons): check your owner's manual.
Get a mechanic to fit the kit unless you have the vehicle maker's workshop manual and the tools it calls for. Our listings say all parts "should be fitted by a professional and fitted to vehicle specifications".
Which Bearings Express kit fits
Once you have your row:
- Pick the timing belt kit if you're keeping the tensioner and water pump.
- Pick the kit with hydraulic tensioner if the tensioner is being replaced too.
- Pick the kit with water pump if the pump is being replaced too.
- Pick the kit with both if you're replacing everything, where it's listed.
For the full model and engine tables, see our Subaru EJ20 and EJ25 guide and our Getz and Accent guide. Every kit is in timing belts and kits.
Questions people also ask
How much does a timing belt kit cost?
Each kit's price is on its listing. We can't quote workshop labour; a workshop can quote the fitting.
Is it a genuine Toyota or Subaru timing belt kit?
No. They're aftermarket kits, not parts from Toyota, Subaru or the other vehicle makers.
Which timing belt kit fits a WRX?
Every WRX and WRX STI in our timing belt kit listings, 2.0 or 2.5 turbo, from March 1998 on, is on the DOHC timing belt kit, or the DOHC kit with hydraulic tensioner.
Do you sell a water pump and timing belt kit?
Yes: nine of the thirteen engine families in the table have a water pump version listed (for the 24-valve 6G72 and the 1MZ-FE V6, ask us). For the others, water pump kits are available on request.
