Ford Falcon front wheel bearings by model: EA to EL, XG and XH ute, Fairlane and LTD

Ford Falcon front wheel bearings by model: EA to EL, XG and XH ute, Fairlane and LTD

Our Ford Falcon front wheel bearing kits fit the EA, EB, ED, EF and EL Falcon and Fairmont (Feb 1988 to Aug 1998), the XG and XH ute, Fairlane and LTD. Each kit does one wheel: inner and outer bearings and an oil seal. We don't list front wheel bearings or hubs for the AU to FG Falcon or Territory.

Find your model and series in the table. All four of our Falcon front kits list the same cars, so the choice is brand and one wheel or both.

Source: our product listings, the "Fits" lists of our four Falcon front kits, which are word for word the same, read 12 October 2026. Each row spans several lines of the list; check your exact engine on the listing. The Fairlane NL line carries the same dates as the NF, while the titles say Fairlane "88-98": if you have a Fairlane NL, send us your VIN before ordering.

What's in each Falcon front kit

Every one of the four lists the same contents per wheel:

  • 1 inner bearing
  • 1 outer bearing
  • 1 oil seal

The single kits are "for left or right wheel"; the pairs are "for left and right wheels", with 2 inner bearings, 2 outer bearings and the oil seals. They're bearing kits, not hub assemblies: no new hub comes in the box, and we don't list a Falcon front hub. Not sure which kind your car takes? Our wheel bearing kit or hub assembly guide explains the difference.

Ford wheel bearing numbers

Our Falcon front listings name the kit by car, not by bearing number, so the numbers aren't printed on the listing. If you have the old bearings out, read the numbers on the inner and outer bearings and send them to us with your car's details, and we'll confirm the fit. Read the numbers on both the inner and the outer bearing.

Searching "Ford wheel bearings" for a trailer? That's a different set. Our Ford trailer kits carry L68149 and LM12749, and Holden or Ford trailer bearings? How to tell explains how to tell the two trailer sets apart.

Two checks before you order

  1. Find your series in the table. The kits list series from the EA (1988) to the EL (1998), plus the XG and XH ute to May 1999. An AU or later Falcon isn't on the list.
  2. Check the engine line. Our listings don't mention ABS or a body style beyond the ute. If you're not sure of the fit, send us your VIN or registration and we'll confirm it from the make, model, year and engine.

AU, BA, BF, FG and Territory front wheel bearings: not in our range

None of our listings names a front wheel bearing kit or hub for the AU, BA, BF, FG or FG X Falcon, or for any Territory. If you need one, send us your VIN and we'll tell you whether we can help. For the rear of these cars, our Falcon and Territory rear wheel bearing guide has the IRS rear kits for the BA to FG X and the SX and SY Territory, the AU IRS rear, and the rear kit for the EA to EL and the AU without IRS.

Fitting: Ford's workshop manual and a mechanic

Fitting and setting up front wheel bearings follows Ford's procedure for your model in the workshop manual. We don't publish fitting or adjustment steps or torque figures. Without the manual and the tools it calls for, book a mechanic. Our listings say all parts "should be fitted by a professional and fitted to vehicle specifications", and we agree.

Which Bearings Express kit fits

For an EA to EL Falcon or Fairmont, an XG or XH ute, an NA to NL Fairlane or a DA to DL LTD:

All four list the same cars and the same contents. More kits are in wheel bearing kits and hub units.

Questions people also ask

Do you have front wheel bearings for a BA, BF or FG Falcon?

Not in our current listings. Our Falcon front kits stop at the EL, so send us your VIN for a BA, BF or FG front.

Does the XH ute take the same front wheel bearings as the EL Falcon?

In our listings, yes: the same four kits list the EA to EL Falcon and the XG, XH and XH II ute.

How much does a Falcon front wheel bearing replacement cost?

We can't quote workshop labour. Each kit's price is on its listing, and a workshop can quote the fitting.
