Our trailer bearing kits come in three bearing brands: two Japanese, KOYO and ITJ, and one Chinese, ACCOR, our economy brand from a high-end maker. The bearing numbers decide which kit fits your trailer; the brand is a preference. Our team rates ACCOR and ITJ as both great quality.
Want Japanese-made only? Find your set in the table below and pick a KOYO or ITJ kit where we list one.
| Brand | Made in | What our team says |
|---|---|---|
| KOYO | Japan | Good-quality Japanese bearings |
| ITJ | Japan | Our Japanese brand |
| ACCOR | China | Our economy brand. A high-end Chinese maker that has made bearings for military vehicles and was Holden original equipment on late Commodores |

Source: our product listings (brand, title and description of every trailer kit), checked 10 October 2026. The Simplicity kit lists ITJ and KOYO bearings together. Our ModCon kits list two seal sizes, so match the seal that came out.
Two things stand out. The Holden, Ford and composite sets come in KOYO or ACCOR. The caravan sets lean the other way: several come in ITJ or ACCOR, and some in one brand only.
Japanese or Chinese: what changes and what doesn't
Put our KOYO and ACCOR Holden kits side by side and the contents read line for line the same: an LM67048 cone in an LM67010 cup, an LM11949 cone in an LM11910 cup, 31.75 and 19.05 mm bores, and a seal listed at 38.1 x 59.13 mm. Our KOYO and ACCOR Ford kits match the same way: L68149 and LM12749, 34.99 and 21.99 mm bores, and the same 1.687 x 2.328 in seal. The bearing numbers and sizes stay the same; the maker changes.
So the brand doesn't change what fits. It's a choice about where the bearing is made:
- KOYO is a good-quality Japanese maker. Our KOYO trailer kits are Holden, Ford, composite, parallel and Kara Kar horse float sets, plus the Simplicity kit.
- ITJ is our Japanese brand. Our ITJ kits cover the 2 or 2.5 tonne, 3 tonne, Dexter US, ModCon, Trojan, 25590 parallel and American import sets, plus the Simplicity kit.
- ACCOR is our economy brand, from a high-end Chinese maker. Its bearings have been used in military vehicles and as Holden original equipment on late Commodores. ACCOR covers the most sets in our range.
Comparing ACCOR and ITJ, our team's view is simple: both great quality. Some of our customers prefer Japanese-made bearings only, and that's what the KOYO and ITJ kits are for.
How to choose your trailer bearings
- Read the numbers on your old bearings. Wipe the grease off the cones and cups and read what's stamped on them. An LM67048 inner (31.75 mm bore) with an LM11949 outer is the Holden set; an L68149 (34.99 mm) with an LM12749 outer is the Ford set. Check both cones: other sets share these numbers. Our guide Holden or Ford trailer bearings? How to tell covers the checks.
- Find that set in the table above. If your numbers aren't there, see the full chart in our trailer bearing size guide.
- Then choose the brand. KOYO or ITJ if you want Japanese-made, ACCOR if you want our economy brand. Where a set comes in one brand only, that's the one we list.
- Don't change numbers to upgrade. The tonnes in our trailer kit names are the trailer's rating, not the bearings'. Going up a tonne isn't an upgrade, and those bearings may not fit your axle. Replace with the same bearing numbers that came out. More on this in our 2 and 2.5 tonne caravan bearing guide.
For fitting and adjustment, follow your axle or trailer maker's own procedure, and have a mechanic or trailer workshop do the job if you haven't done it before. Our kit listings say all parts should be fitted by a licensed professional to vehicle specifications.
Which Bearings Express kit fits
- Pick the 2x Standard Trailer Wheel Bearing Kits for Holden Axles, KOYO for both wheels of a Holden trailer with Japanese-made bearings, or the 2x Standard Trailer Wheel Bearing Kits to suit Holden Axles, ACCOR for the same set in our economy brand.
- Pick the 2x Trailer Bearing Kits for Ford Axles, KOYO for a Ford (L68149) trailer in KOYO, or the 2x Standard Trailer Wheel Bearing Kits for Ford Axles, ACCOR.
- Pick the 2x 2.5 Tonne or 2 Tonne Trailer and Caravan Wheel Bearing Kits for an HR30210 and 15123 caravan set. ITJ bearings, made in Japan.
- Pick the 2x Standard American Import Trailer Bearing Kits, Japanese made bearings for an imported boat trailer with an L68111 inner cup. ITJ bearings; we list an ACCOR version too.
Marine, composite, parallel, caravan and single-wheel kits in each brand are in the trailer bearing collection.

For trailers, KOYO and ITJ. Both are made in Japan. Our ACCOR kits are made in China.
Are Japanese trailer bearings better than Chinese ones?

Do you sell GMB trailer bearing kits?
No. Our trailer kits come with KOYO, ITJ or ACCOR bearings.
Does a Japanese bearing kit fit differently?
