The John Deere GX20072 belt, which replaced GY20570, crosses to our GX20072 replacement belt: a 13 mm (1/2") A-section belt made with Kevlar, 103.75 inches (2635 mm) outside, listed as the 42 inch cutter deck belt. The tables below match dozens more mower OEM numbers, in 36 rows, to the belt we sell.
Got the number off your old belt or out of your manual? Find it under your mower's brand, order the belt in that row, and you can stop there.
| In the tables | What it means |
|---|---|
| A, B or M | The belt section. Our listings give A as 1/2" (13 mm) wide, B as 5/8" (17 mm) and M as 3/8" (9.5 mm) |
| 87" / 89" | Inside / outside length in inches, as listed. Outside is inside + 2" on A belts, + 3" on B and + 1" on M |
| Kevlar | "Yes" where the listing says made with Kevlar. A K in our code (AK87, BK100) means Kevlar |
| Position | The job the listing names for that mower: cutter deck, transmission drive, clutch, PTO and so on |
Source: our product listings, read 10 October 2026, and our team's sizing rules. Our belts are non-genuine replacements, listed by the OEM numbers they replace.
Start with the OEM number on the old belt or in the manual
The number your mower's maker gave the belt is the surest way to the right replacement. Our team goes by that number rather than a tape measure wherever it can. Look for it printed on the back of the old belt, or in the parts list of your owner's manual. Most mower makers publish their manuals online: Greenfield, for one, has its owner's manuals with parts lists on its manuals page.
Then check which belt it is. Many ride-ons run two or three belts (a cutter deck belt plus one or two drive belts), each with its own number, so the position column matters as much as the number.

Not in the table? Send us the OEM number
We list many more mower belts than fit here, so search our site for the OEM number first, without spaces or dashes if the first search finds nothing. Still no match? Send us the number from the old belt or your manual, plus the mower's make and model, and we'll check it for you.
Searching an A or B size, such as "A38 belt cross reference"?
An A or B code is already a belt size, not a mower maker's number. An A38 is 13 mm wide, 38 inches inside and 40 outside, and we sell it in our A-section V-belt range, A20 to A79. One of our listings also names that size for the Cox Scout (VA38) and Rover Colt (A05456). B codes work the same way, with the outside 3 inches longer: a B52 is in our B-section range, B24 to B88.
A US listing that reads "1/2 x 40" is the same A38, because the US figure is the outside length: our 1/2 x 95 guide shows the conversion. An AX or BX code is the cogged version of the same size (AX vs A, BX vs B), and our V-belt sizes chart covers every section.
Kevlar or standard? Match the old belt
In our experience, 99% of the deck (cutter) belts we sell are Kevlar, and a standard belt in a Kevlar position can shred within hours. Many drive belts need Kevlar too. A Kevlar belt can replace a standard belt of the same size, but not the other way round, so if the old belt had a K in its code, buy the K version.
On Greenfield's cutter deck, the standard B100 does the job for about 98% of our Greenfield customers. When one fails, we recommend the Kevlar BK100 from then on, and our team sees Kevlar as the better value. More in Do I need a Kevlar mower belt?
Questions people also ask
What is the GX20006 belt cross reference?
John Deere GX20006, also numbered UC30568, is the 42 and 48 inch transmission drive belt in our listings. We sell it as a Kevlar AK87 or a standard A87: 13 mm wide, 87 inches inside and 89 outside. The A87 listing also names Rover A12096.
How do you measure a mower belt?
Measure the top width first: 13 mm is an A belt and 17 mm a B. Then measure round the outside and take off 2 inches for an A or 3 for a B to get the number. If you can read the OEM number, go by that instead.
Are your mower belts genuine?
No. They're aftermarket replacements, and each listing names the OEM numbers it replaces. Check your manual for the correct number, as some mowers use different belts by year or deck.
